This lesson covers basic electricity functional in Voltage, Current, and Resistance in general that you should be aware and understand before going into automotive electrical lessons.
VOLTAGE vs CURRENT vs RESISTANCE
Here are three basic electric fundamental and measurements you should be aware of:
Voltage: the difference in charge between two points.
- UNIT: (V) volts
Current: the rate at which charge is flowing.
*Note: The circuit must be CLOSED for current to flow through.
- UNIT: (I) amps
Resistance: a material's tendency to resist the current.
- UNIT: (R) ohms

VOLTAGE, CURRENT, & RESISTANCE'S
ELECTRIC CIRCUIT ANALOG TO WATER CIRCUIT
Voltage: electric charge to water pressure
Current: electric flow to water flow
Resistance: electric's usage such as light, motor, etc. to water valve, water turbine, etc.
