New Car Dealership Service


  • Fully trained with specialty manufacturing support

  • PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection)

  • Warranty


Independent Repair Shop

  • Service offered on variety manufacturing vehicles

  • Tends to target on older vehicles





Lubrication Service

  • Well-Known for Quick Oil Change Services

  • May include other quick & simple services such as

- Replace Wiper Blades

- Replace Air Filters

- State Inspections

Fleet Shop

  • Company's own shop

  • EX: Taxi, Delivery (USPS, UPS, Fed Ex), Government (Police, Public Transportation)

  • NO Customer Service

  • May have odd schedule & shift to fit company's needs

Specialty Shop

  • May need basic automotive knowledge but must be fluent in specialty area.

  • Type of Specialty Shop can be Engine, Transmission, Dyno Test, Tire/Wheel, Exhaust, Body Repair & Paint, Windshield, Audio System, Aftermarket Merchandising, and others.


 

General Career Positions in Automotive Shop

NOTE:

  • Fleet Shop does NOT have Service Advisor/Writer because there are NO customers

  • First year level technician usually starts as Quick Lube Technician and climb up to Level C Technician.

  • Level A is the top level technician with full knowledge in automotive technology.
